Our CSA

Lightcap Farm will join the happy local trend of providing a CSA in 2012. It’s our first CSA, and the details are still forming. Not surprisingly, it will be different from most. We will limit the number of subscribers to between five and ten. The CSA will cover the year, and feature vegetable and flower starts, fresh produce and flowers as the growing season allows, and a Douglas Fir seasonal tree in late fall.  We’ll determine fees in the spring. And because we aren’t that fond of federal reserve notes, we happily accept offers to barter or volunteer in exchange for our goods.  If you’d like more information, email CC at lightcapfarm@gmail.com.

Look for Genovese basil like this in Lightcap Farm's CSA.

Spinach from last year's garden. We've ordered three kinds of spinach seed for this year, including a chard called "perpetual spinach".

Our elevation is ideal for growing greens. We'll grow several types of lettuces this year, and experiment with staggered plantings.
